Get ready for more Shelby family drama! The critically acclaimed historical crime series, *Peaky Blinders*, is officially set to receive a two-season sequel, much to the delight of fans worldwide.

Creator Steven Knight confirmed the exciting news on Thursday, October 2, revealing that the new chapter will find its home on both Netflix and BBC. The narrative will transport viewers to 1953 Great Britain, where a fresh generation of Shelbys will navigate the complex quest to secure ownership of Birmingham's monumental reconstruction project, following the city's significant damage during World War II.

Each season is slated to feature six hour-long episodes, promising fans a total of twelve new installments to delve into the Shelby family's evolving challenges and triumphs, as reported by Variety.

Knight expressed his enthusiasm for the project, stating, "I’m thrilled to be announcing this new chapter in the Peaky Blinders story. Once again it will be rooted in Birmingham and will tell the story of a city rising from the ashes of the Birmingham blitz. The new generation of Shelbys have taken the wheel and it will be a hell of a ride."

Adding another layer of anticipation, Cillian Murphy, who famously portrayed the iconic gang leader Thomas Shelby, will return to the *Peaky Blinders* universe as an executive producer for the sequel series.

While an official release date has yet to be disclosed, production will be handled by Kudos and Garrison Drama, both well-acquainted with Knight's previous works. Garrison Drama notably produced all six seasons of the original series, which premiered in 2013 and captivated audiences with its ensemble cast, including Paul Anderson, Sophie Rundle, Joe Cole, Harry Kirton, and the late Helen McCrory.

Beyond the series, fans can also look forward to an early 2026 sequel film, *The Immortal Man*, which is currently in development. This film will see the original cast reprising their roles and pick up a few years after the events of the sixth season finale, with Barry Keoghan and Rebecca Ferguson joining the cast.

The upcoming sequel series represents a collaborative effort between Netflix and BBC, with Steven Knight and Cillian Murphy serving as executive producers. The producing team includes Karen Wilson and Martin Haines for Kudos, Jamie Glazebrook for Garrison Drama, Jo McClellan for the BBC, and Mona Qureshi and Toby Bentley for Netflix.
