‘My June plot twist’: Michelle Dee’s face scarred by pet dog

Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee recently shared a personal update with her followers, revealing that she sustained injuries after being bitten by her pet dog.

Taking to social media on Tuesday, June 3, the beauty queen posted photos showing scars on her face resulting from the incident. She stressed the importance of seeking prompt treatment for such injuries, advising fellow pet owners, "No matter how much we love [our] furbabies, never underestimate dog bites! Act quick."

By Wednesday, June 4, Dee provided a positive update on her condition. She noted that her recovery was progressing well, with no signs of infection. Swelling on her cheek and chin had decreased, and the injured areas were healing cleanly and appearing less red, a process she described as "surprisingly" quick.

Despite the unforeseen incident, Dee clarified that the experience hasn't changed her feelings for her pet, stating that her dog remains "still [her] babygirl." She lightheartedly referred to the event as her "June plot twist" when sharing the news on her Instagram broadcast channel.

Michelle Dee is known for her Top 10 finish at the Miss Universe 2023 pageant, where she championed autism awareness. Since then, she has expanded her career, releasing her debut single "REYNA," an anthem centered on self-empowerment, and making a guest appearance on Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition.
