Amazon now provides delivery for free to the Philippines

MANILA — International e-commerce behemoth Amazon said that it now provides free delivery to the Philippines for a number of items provided a basket passes the required $49 (about P2,800) minimum order barrier.

Some Filipinos have been discouraged from doing cross-border shopping due to higher shipping costs to the Philippines.

With a total purchase value of USD 49 or more and qualifying goods, Amazon announced that international free shipping to the Philippines was possible.

"The Free Shipping option will be available at checkout if you have a basket with eligible products and meet or surpass the promotion level," it stated.

Be aware that not all goods qualify for free delivery. According to Amazon, products that qualify have a label indicating this.
