Columbia Pictures has released two different poster versions for its upcoming thriller “Captain Phillips” starring Tom Hanks.

The first design is the domestic one-sheet showing a long shot of two pirates climbing up a ship, while the other, which showcases leading man Hanks, is the international design.

The film is the true story of Captain Richard Phillips (Hanks) and the 2009 hijacking by Somali pirates of the US-flagged MV Maersk Alabama, the first American cargo ship to be hijacked in two hundred years. Phillips, married father of two, surrendered himself to a group of four Somali pirates in order to protect his crew off the coast of Africa. After an unsuccessful escape attempt, he was subsequently rescued when US Navy SEAL snipers shot and killed three of the pirates.

“Captain Phillips” is directed by Oscar-nominee Paul Greengrass (“United 93,” “The Bourne Ultimatum”) from a screenplay by Billy Ray and based upon the book, "A Captain's Duty: Somali Pirates, Navy SEALs, and Dangerous Days at Sea," by Richard Phillips with Stephan Talty.

The Philippines continues to capture Hollywood's, interest, as Manila will play host to Universal
Pictures' upcoming 'Fast & Furious 6', it was announced today. This event is the very first time
that Manila will gather foreign press from Asia and other cities outside of the region to promote a
major Hollywood movie. The film's lead action star, Vin Diesel, along with fellow stars Michelle
Rodriguez, Gina Carrano and Luke Evans, producer Neal H. Moritz, director Justin Lin will

This will culminate with a star-studded premier of Fast & Furious 6 at the SM Mall of Asia on

“CARRIE” CONJURES NEW POSTER  

          Columbia Pictures has released online the second one-sheet art of its upcoming suspense-thriller, “Carrie” based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King and starring Chloe Grace Moretz and Julianne Moore.           
         “Carrie” is a reimagining of the classic horror tale about Carrie White (Moretz), a shy girl outcast by her peers and sheltered by her deeply religious mother (Moore). The teenaged girl unleashes telekinetic terror on her small town after being pushed too far at her senior prom.     

          Directed by Kimberly Peirce with a screenplay by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, “Carrie” also stars Judy Greer, Portia Doubleday, Alex Russell, Gabriella Wilde and Ansel Elgort.
