ANGELINE, PAULO AND SAM, TEAM UP FOR THE FIRST TIME IN “KAHIT KONTING PAGTINGIN”

As kilig-serye was loved by filipinos, another kilig serye was about to begin, this is said to be another experiment teleserye, introducing Angeline Quinto in creating soaps. This January, ABS-CBN will launch its newest romantic-comedy series titled “Kahit Konting Pagtingin,” which stars Queen of Teleserye Theme Songs Angeline Quinto together with her two dashing leading men Breakthrough Actor of 2012 Paulo Avelino and Romantic-Comedy Heartthrob Sam Milby.

According to Angeline, she is overjoyed with the blessing of having her first ever teleserye. “I am really happy because I didn’t expect that this will happen ” shared the singer-actress. “If before I’m only part of teleseryes as the singer of the theme songs, now TV viewers can watch me everyday as an actress.”

In the series, Angeline will portray the role of Aurora, a highly-spirited and hardworking lady who will do everything for the sake of her loved ones. And amid her funny adventures, Aurora will meet two guys—Lance (Paulo) and Adam (Sam)—who are bound to win her heart.

“Kahit Konting Pagtingin’ is very light. It’s a heartwarming tale of a woman who works hard for her family,” said Angeline, who is truly proud of her first team-up with Paulo and Sam. “Of course, we will also discover in the story how Aurora finds her one true love.”

Aside from Angeline, Paulo and Sam, the newest Kapamilya kilig-serye will also star Snooky Serna, John Lapus, Mylene Dizon, James Blanco, Jordan Herrera, Ahron Villena, Joonee Gamboa, Denise Joaquin, and introducing Alexandra Macanan and Aljhon Lucas. Angeline’s first-ever teleserye is directed by Darnel Villaflor.

The Film Academy of the Philippines has revealed the shortlist of Filipino films vying to become the country’s official entry to the 85th Academy Awards or the 2013 Oscars.


The seven films in the list which were shown during the period October 2011 to July 2012 have all received an “A” rating from the Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB). If the final selection was shown in 2011, it will be commercially exhibited for at least seven consecutive days this year in order to abide with the Oscar rules.

Leading the shortlist is the Urian Best Picture winner and Cinemalaya entry “Ang Sayaw ng Dalawang Kaliwang Paa” starring Rocco Nacino, Jean Garcia and Paulo Avelino.

Other films in contention for the nomination are the MMFF Best Picture “Manila Kingpin: Asiong Salonga Story” starring Jeorge “E.R.” Estregan and Carla Abellana; the MMFF entry “Segunda Mano” starring Kris Aquino, Dingdong Dantes, and Angelica Panganiban; “A Mother’s Story” starring Pokwang; “The Witness” starring Gwen Zamora; the Brillante Mendoza film “Captive” starring IsabelleHuppert, Mercedes Cabral and Joel Torre; and the Aureus Sotto film “Busong” starring Alessandra de Rossi.

The committee that will choose which film will be the official Philippine entry to the 2013 Oscars is composed of National Artist for Film Eddie Romero, FAP deputy director-general Robert Arevalo, Directors Guild of the Philippines secretary Jose N. Carreon, Philippine Motion Picture Directors’ Association president William Mayo, Production Designers Guild of the Philippines presidentManny Morfe, United Film Editors Guild of the Philippines presidentJess Navarro, director Elwood Perez and actress/director Gina Alajar.
