Wednesday, June 11, marked a significant day for fans of global music sensation BTS, as members Jimin and Jungkook were officially discharged from their mandatory military service in South Korea.
They are the latest members of the popular K-pop group to complete their required national duty, becoming the fifth and sixth members to do so. This development occurs amid growing anticipation for the band's potential return from their hiatus.
The seven-member group decided in 2022 to put their collective activities on hold to allow each member to fulfill their military obligations, which typically last up to 18 months. Jin was the first to enlist in December 2022.
Earlier this week, members RM and V were discharged on Tuesday, June 10. Suga is the final member expected to complete his service, with his discharge anticipated on June 21.
