The Healing Marks 80 Million Gross on its first week

The Chito Roño horror flick “The Healing” starring the Star for All Seasons–Vilma Santos–has raked in P80 million in first week.


According to Star Cinema, “The Healing” had a successful first week run by virtue of its P80 million box-office gross despite the restricted rating it received from the MTRCB.

The Chito Roño film, which also marks the 50th anniversarycelebration of Vilma Santos in showbiz, is now poised to become the third Pinoy movie in 2012 to surpass the P100-million mark after “Unofficially Yours” and “Kimmy Dora: The Temple of Kiyeme”.

“The Healing” also received an “A” grade from the Cinema EvaluationBoard.

The Successful Showing of "The Healing"

Sa matagumpay nitong premiere night pa lamang noong Martes (July 24), naging no.1 trending topic na agad ang “The Healing” sa sikat na microblogging site na Twitter kung saan bumaha ng tweets mula sa mga netizen na labis na ang pananabik na mapanood ang pelikula.

Sa labis na excitement ng publiko sa “The Healing,” matagumpay agad ang first day of showing nito sa laksa-laksang tao na sumugod at matiyagang pumila sa iba’t ibang mga sinehan sa buong bansa. Sa katunayan, sa patuloy na pagdagsa ng moviegoers, ilang malls na ang nagplanong magdadag ng cinemas ngayong weekend upang matiyak na maa-accommodate ang dami ng nais manood. 

Sa ilalim ng produksyon ng Star Cinema, ang "The Healing" ay ginawaran kamakailan ng pinakamataas na marka na Grade A ng Cinema Evaluation Board (CEB).
