Maricel-Gerald Issue; ABS-CBN Statement

Due to the unfortunate incident between Gerald Anderson and Maricel Soriano that transpired on the first taping day of “Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin,” the ABS-CBN management and the management of Maricel Soriano have agreed that Maricel will no longer be part of the cast. The teleserye starring Gerald Anderson will proceed as scheduled.

Must watch performance of Maricel Soriano for "Untold Stories"; Artista Academy's to reveal top 16 students

Staying home on a Saturday night is never dull with TV5’s exciting primetime shows. Maricel Soriano, the undisputed Diamond Star of Philippine entertainment, stars in this week’s episode of Untold Stories at 8:30 PM.


The biggest reality artista search, Artista Academy, will also reveal the Top 16 students vying for the P20 million grand prize.

Maricel returns after a long break from television with a much-anticipated role on TV5’s Untold Stories. This is the first time that Maricel will appear in Untold Stories, which brings to life touching real-life accounts shown on Face to Face. In this Saturday’s episode, she portrays a paraplegic mother who beats the odds for the sake of her children. Fans can watch The Diamond Star in a story highlighting the human spirit’s triumph over adversity. She reunites with former onscreen partner William Martinez in what promises to be one of her most memorable performances on Philippine TV.

Meanwhile, Artista Academy will introduce its Top 16 students also on Saturday night. After a series of meticulous screenings, these 16 hopefuls left will out-perform one another in their quest to be the next big Kapatid stars. The Top 16 students will be granted fullscholarships to the Asian Academy of Television Arts (AATA) to train under the best industry professionals. Artista Academy’s Best Actor and Best Actress will not only win PhP20 million in total prizes but they will also star in an upcoming TV5 teleserye — making them the richest among all talent search winners in the country. Hosted byCesar Montano and Marvin Agustin, Artista Academy airs Monday to Saturday after Wil Time Bigtime on TV5.
