Derrick Monastetio is part of "Rak Of Aegis" Season 7!

Derrick Monasterio is not only blessed with good looks and a physique that's worth envying. He is also a versatile artist who can act, sing, and paint.

Derrick, who was recently seen in the Kapuso series "Inday Will Always Love You" and "Dragon Lady" and the movie "Wild and Free," will have a new place to showcase his acting and singing skills - the stage of the iconic Filipino musical "Rak of Aegis" at the PETA Theatre Center.

Derrick has actually been posting videos of himself singing covers on his Instagram

(@derrickmonasterio). Starting this July, Derrick will take on the role of Tolits in the longest-running original Pinoy musical.

In an interview with GMA Network during the "Rak of Aegis" press launch last June 3 at the PETA Theatre Center, Derrick shared, "Before I went into acting, I really loved singing. So when I saw an opportunity, I decided to audition. I was already a fan, as I've seen Rak of Aegis before, and now I'm

happy to be actually part of the cast."

Derrick also shared that he made sure to clear his schedule so he has the chance to audition.

"Rak of Aegis" returns on July 5 and will run until September 29 at the PETA Theatre Center. For ticket

Kapuso Artists: Kristoffer Martin, Derrick Monasterio and Top One Project share their recent awards received

Kapuso artists Kristoffer Martin, Derrick Monasterio and Top One Project proved once again the GMA Artists are achievers as they won each from the craft they are into.

Kristoffer Martin bagged the "Best Performance by an actor" award from PMPC Star Awards for his Magpakailanman performance.

Derrick Monasterio received the "Best New Male Recording Artist of the Year" title for his self-titled debut album from PMPC Star Awards.

Top One Project (T.O.P.) took home their first award as "Duo/Group of the Year."

Kristoffer Martin, Derrick Monasterio and Top One Project dedicate these awards they received of course to their fans and supporters.

Top One Project (T.O.P.) still can't believe that they finally received an award, for them this year was a blast for them as they are also celebrating their first anniversary as a group.

Derrick Monasterio on the other hand can't hide his excitement for the award for music, since it's his first root in the industry.

Kristoffer Martin was also surprised to have won on the category "best performance by an actor" as he competed with actors he is looking up to like Alden Richards, Jay Arcilla and more.

Set Visit: Hanggang Makita Kang Muli

GMA Network's "Hanggang Makita Kang Muli," is definitely one of the reason's why afternoon is still entertaining and keeping us alive. Recently, www.My-Juicy.net has visited the set of Hanggang Makita Kang Muli and have talked to some of the cast like Kim Rodriguez, Jak Roberto, Bea Binene and Derrick Monasterio.

Kim Rodriguez got her first kontrabida role in "Hanggang Makita Kang Muli," she plays the character of Claire Esguerra. Kim Rodriguez describes her role challenging but she said that she like challenges and the challenge was accepted.

Ampon lang ako. Longing ako sa mother ko so nakilala ko si Ate Angelika (dela Cruz). Akala niya ako 'yung anak niya kasi kung saan ako napulot nung stepfather ko, doon nawala 'yung anak niya. Magpapanggap ako na anak niya," Kim shared.

"Kasi first time ko to [na gaganap bilang kontrabida]. Sobrang na-excite ako. Challenging ito para sakin eh. Pinanood ko sila Vaness del Moral, Eula valdez. Nanood ako ng mga movie nila. Siyempre, humingi din ako ng advice kina Ate Ina Feleo," she added.

Kim's mood changed when asked about her former loveteam Kiko Estrada, Kim was teary eyed upon reminiscing of them. Kim couldn't wish nothing, but happiness for Kiko, she hopes for the best for him and even if their love team didn't lasted that for long she said that she will always be there for Kiko.

Jak Roberto plays the role of "Elmo Manahan Vilamor" in Hanggang Makita Kang Muli, he talked about his character that is a rebound of Kim's character that has been convincing Kim's character to love him.

Jak Roberto feels so lucky to be working with Direk Laurice Guillen, that helps them a lot to motivate and act well during takes.

Jak Roberto mentions his and her sister Sanya Lopez audition on getting the cast role for Encantadia 2016. He said that they was not expecting what role they will be having, they just did their best, and they both really are lucky to be a Ibaro and Sanya to be one of the Sangre. Jak told how Sanya was so happy upon knowing she will be doing the role of "Danaya" he said she was crying at home, because she can't seem to believe it.

Bea Binene describes having her role (a feral child) in Hanggang Makita Kang Muli a Make or Break, because her role here is her most challenging role so far, and this is a first for philippine history that's why she was a bit afraid of how the people will respond to this, but she said GMA Network has a full support to her and believes she can pull this off.

Bea Binene describes working with direk Laurice Guillen intimidating because she is Laurice Guillen, also she said there is this pressure since they should be memorize the script because direk Laurice impliments this no script when takes, but Bea Binene feels so much pleasured to be working with a direk Laurice Guillen.

Derrick Monasterio is happy to be working again with Bea Binene, he describes the set as very light whenever he works with Bea Binene since they are that close enough.

Just like Bea Binene, Derrick Monasterio is aware that he needs to memorize his script well, because this is one Direk Laurice Guillen is requiring. Derrick Monasterio shares this story that at first he wasn't that convinced that direk Laurice Guillen is slight strict until he was scolded, by then he believed it. But Derrick commends direk for being like that because it helps them as an actor and he said that if you are doing your job right, there's nothing to worry about direk Laurice Guillen.

GMA Records launch Derrick Monasterio's debut self-titled EP album

We have seen Derrick Monasterio bloomed in his acting career. Now he gears up to be an official recording artist as he finally launched his self-titled EP album under GMA Records "Derrick Monasterio."

Derrick Monasterio album tracks include: "Give Me One More Chance" written by award winning composer Toto Sorioso. The EP also includes Singer-Song Writer Ogie Alcasid's composition "Kailangan Kita" which were also sung by Gary Valenciano and Piolo Pascual. Other songs include "Reyna" by Vehnee Saturno, "Batobalani", a duet with Bet ng Bayan winner Hannah Precillas "Kailangan Ko, Kailangan Mo" and a bonus track which is a duet with Ms. Julie Anne San Jose and composed by King of Soul Janno Gibs " Ang Aking Puso".

During the launch Derrick gave samples of his songs in his album:

According to him, his album is more on ballad but he adds that he also sings different genres. When asked what song in his album that will define him, he answered "Kailangang Kita," he said since "no man is an island" and we have this need of someone else in our life. This is also the song he is to dedicate to Bea Binene. Derrick thanked Ogie Alcasid's goodness of not asking for a royalty fee for singing Kailangan Kita.

Derrick Monasterio ranks himself from 9 out of 10 his singing, he said he ranked himself 9 because he sings from his heart.

Kapuso Teen Actor Derrick Monasterio gives back to Nayon ng Kabataan in Mandaluyong as he celebrates his 18th birthday.

In spite of the heavy rain due to Maring storm, Derrick Monasterio went to Nayon ng Kabataan of DSWD located at Mandaluyong to visit the kids and celebrate his birthday with them. August 21 is Derrick's real birth date still he wanted to give back and celebrate it with the kids of Nayon ng Kabataan.

Derrick revealed that he was really a kids lover and its really good to give back to them and entertain them for sometimes specially the actor being the Ambassador of the National Youth Council. The kids were so glad to see their Idol in person, smiles were there in every kid.

The Kids sang Happy Birthday for Derrick. The Teen Actor hosted the whole event he moderated the games played. Derrick gave a number sang "Kahit Isang Saglit." After the singing and games, Derrick is the one who distributed meals to every kid. After meal, Derrick blown his cakes' candle and shared them with Fernandos Bakery cupcakes to all the happy kids.

Derrick revealed his wishes for his birthday, of course he wished more success of his career, more project and he wished betterment of the Philippines. Derrick also revealed that if ever he would bt out of showbiz, he would like to be a Basketball player or a Politician.
