
The highly anticipated Binibining Pilipinas 2025 coronation night recently concluded, marking the 61st edition of the country's long-standing national beauty pageant. Held at the iconic Araneta Coliseum, the event saw 36 candidates competing for the coveted titles.
Contestants showcased their elegance, grace, and intellect throughout the evening, aiming to secure one of the two major crowns: Miss International and Miss Globe.
The coronation night kicked off with an energetic opening number, featuring the 36 hopefuls dancing to Lady Gaga's "Abracadabra," setting a dynamic tone for the competition.
A highlight of the preliminary segments was the National Costume competition. Blessie Villablanca representing Antique was awarded the Best in National Costume for her striking ensemble.
The swimsuit competition saw the candidates confidently strutting on stage. Dalia Varde Khattab from Las Piñas particularly impressed, earning the Best in Swimsuit award.
Several special awards were also presented early in the evening. Winners included Katrina Anne C. Johnson of Davao Province (Binibining Dunkin), Kathleen Enid Espenido from Siargao (Binibining Pizza Hut), Alyssa Mildred V. Villariña representing the Province of Rizal (Manila Bulletin Reader's Choice Award), Annabelle Mae McDonnell of Iligan City (Binibining PH Airlines), and Dalia Varde Khattab from Las Piñas (Binibining Urban Smiles).
The evening gown competition added another layer of glamour to the event, with candidates presenting themselves in regal attire.
Entertainment for the night featured a performance by popular group SB19, who serenaded the candidates during the evening gown segment with their songs “Moonlight” and “I Want You.” Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental 2015, Christi McGarry, also served as the DJ for the evening.
A panel of distinguished judges, including reigning queens Miss International 2024 Huynh Thi Thanh Thuy from Vietnam and Miss Globe 2024 Diana Moreno from Colombia, were tasked with the difficult decision of selecting the next queens. Notable figures like Alice Dixson (Bb Pilipinas International 1986), Lala Sotto, Francis Libiran, Dr. Ralph Delas Alas, and Chairman Conchitina Bernardo were also part of the panel.
The proceedings were guided by a lineup of esteemed past Binibining Pilipinas titleholders serving as hosts: Nicole Cordoves (Bb. Pilipinas Grand International 2016), MJ Lastimosa (Bb. Pilipinas Universe 2014), Maureen Montagne (The Miss Globe 2021), and Kylie Verzosa (Miss International 2016).
