Star power: Celebrities who cast their vote on Election Day 2025

Adding their voice to the crucial 2025 midterm elections, many beloved Filipino celebrities headed to the polls on Monday, May 12, joining millions of their fellow citizens in casting their ballots.

These stars weren't shy about showing their civic pride. Across social media platforms, numerous actors, actresses, singers, and influencers shared photos of their ink-stained fingers, a symbol of having participated in the electoral process.

Beyond simply showing that they voted, many of these personalities also used their platform to encourage their followers to exercise their right to suffrage and, notably, urged them to 'vote wisely'.

This year's midterm polls saw a significant turnout nationwide, with 68.43 million registered Filipinos eligible to vote for a vast array of positions.

A total of 18,320 elective positions were contested across the country. These included national roles like 12 senators and a party-list group, as well as a wide range of local positions such as one congressional representative, one mayor, one vice mayor, one provincial governor, one provincial vice governor, and numerous members for Sangguniang Panlalawigan (provincial board) and Sangguniang Panlungsod o Bayan (city or municipal council).

Their visibility in the electoral process underscores the ongoing call for active civic engagement from all sectors of society.
