Ben&Ben braces for ‘next chapter’ in world tour

OPM favorite Ben&Ben is ready to launch into what they are calling the "next chapter" of their career with a brand new album and an extensive world tour.

The band recently unveiled the initial list of dates and locations for "The Traveller Across Dimensions" world tour. The Philippine leg begins in Cebu on May 24, followed by shows in Bacolod on June 8, and Davao on June 22.

After concluding their performances in the Philippines, Ben&Ben will take the tour international, with confirmed dates in Lincoln, California on July 12 and Singapore on December 14. The group indicated that additional international stops are expected to be added between these dates.

During a press conference, lead vocalist Paolo Benjamin reflected on the band's journey over the past eight years and expressed confidence in their readiness for this significant new phase. He mentioned that the band has navigated and overcome numerous challenges, preparing them for the chapter ahead.

A key element the band aims to enhance for these shows is the visual presentation. Miguel Benjamin shared that improving the tour's visual component is a priority, intending to make it one of the main highlights. He noted the band's careful attention to visual details and confirmed they are working diligently to achieve their creative goals, hinting at a distinct production style for the upcoming concerts.

The production for the tour involves collaborations with Ovation Productions for the Philippine and Singapore legs, AEG Presents Asia for the Singapore show, and the NY Entourage Productions for the US concerts. The band teased that audiences can anticipate a unique production aspect unlike their previous shows.

This focus on visual and immersive elements echoes their Mall of Asia Arena concert last December, which incorporated animation and narrative storytelling. It also ties into their latest concept album, "The Traveller Across Dimensions," known for its central character, Liwanag, and her journey of finding inner peace.

Fans attending the tour can expect a mix of tracks from the new album, including "Autumn," "Could Be Something," "Courage," and "Triumph," alongside their recent single "Saranggola" and popular hits like "Araw Araw," "Sa Susunod Na Habang Buhay," and "Paninindigan Kita."
