San Jose Del Monte Bulacan Mayor Arthur Robes is much happy to receive the prestigious award from the Government — Seal Of Good Local Governance, this award given by the DILG seeks to: (1) Sustain the practice of transparency and accountability in the use of public funds; (2) Prepare for challenges posed by disasters; (3) Demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of vulnerable and marginalized sectors of society; (4) Encourage investments and employment; (5) Protect constituents from threats to life and security; and (6) Safeguard the integrity of the environment. In short, the leaders in this area does a good job!

It was like a special present for Mayor Arthur Robes of SJDM to receive the Seal of Good Local Governance a day before his actual birthday. According Mayor Arthur Robes, SJDM being a drug-free city is a major success for him, since he believed that this led him and SJDM to win the award, at the same time he said this also was the challenge they needed to face. He mentioned that he made Barangays to have stricter rule and to be monitoring now and then to maintain being drug-free.
