MOVIE REVIEW: Ang Pagsanib Kay Leah Dela Cruz

Ang Pagsanib Kay Leah Dela Cruz is a levelled-up horror movie. It’s not a typical horror story that just tackles about ghost and spirit, Ang Pagsanib Kay Leah Dela Cruz tackles what is even more scary — The Demon. Ang Pagsanib Kay Leah Dela Cruz interpretation of the demon in the movie (A black figure) is just realistic and give a genuine scare to the viewer. The black figure is realistic in as sense that most of us who had experience with the non-worldly being, would describe the black figure in the movie is as the black figure that once scared us in this lifetime and not the bloody white lady or black lady that we usually see in a typical horror film that sometimes make us laugh and be scared of.
The storyline of the movie is compact, no added confusing storyline or added non-necessary scenes just to consume movie time. From the first minute of watching the movie, the viewers will be caught by attention of the movie and get intrigued and get hooked of the movie from start to finish.
It’s a quality film, from the cinematography to the effects and sound. It looks like a hollywood film. Direk Katski Flores is a good director and  Kamikaze Films, Viva Films, Reality Entertainment wouldn’t be in the movie industry for nothing, what more if this three movie outfit combine!

Actors in the movie

The lead stars of Ang Pagsanib Kay Leah Dela Cruz are a revelation! Sarah Lahbati, Julian Trono and Shy Carlos gave a very good and convincing acting to their respective roles, considering that their roles are hard roles and complicated. Sarah Lahbati in the movie gives a serious, mysterious, burdened character. No Sarah Lahbati will be seen in her in the movie, she just nailed it. Julian Trono also portrayed well in the movie, you will see the cuteness of his character at the same time, you will see the ddetail of every emotion his character requested Julian for this role. Shy Carlos‘ character is the hardest here, to portray like a crazy. Smiling, crying and angry in an instant is really a crazy role but Shy Carlos manages to do it all! Not just the lead actors but all of the actors in the movie are so award-winning.

The message of the film

The movie was trying to send out that we are all imperfect after all, we have all our bad sides and demon inside. But that doesn’t mean we should let it consume us. We should forgive ourselves for every shortcomings we may have. And to fight that demon in us, we are blessed to have our friends family and LOVE AND GOD.

MOVIE RATING: 4/5
