Kapuso actress Ryza Cenon bears it all for her QCinema film entry “Ang Manananggal sa Unit 23B.” A daring and sexy Ryza Cenon plays the role of a Manananggal in the movie, but she’s a different Manananggal here, her character kills whoever man she had sex with, and this makes it challenging for Ryza. She did even have a masturbation scene in the movie, which she explains it is an important highlight and part of the story.
Ryza Cenon admits she gone like through hell of emotions and crying a lot to do the said daring task. She said that she had to cry all day and release her nervous to prevent her from being unprofessional, she had to do preparations like even watch porn videos so that she’ll know her character’s reaction very well on the set. She said that when she did the masturbation scene, she had to trust everyone on the set and keep in her mind that she should do this for the project and for her work.
Is she afraid to be typecast as a sexy star? she said no, since she can showcase more than portraying sexy roles, and she added that she’ll still be accepting sexy roles as long as the material is very good and have sense.
Meanwhile Martin Del Rosario’s character here is wholesome, as he said. His character is a boy-next-door who’s in pain from a heart break and loss of a family member.
Both Ryza and Martin were flattered by the support of their fans gave them, despite that the movie is somewhat really different from the mainstream ones, still they received a lot of support.
