The Janitor (Cinemalaya), showing in selected cinemas this Aug. 1 – 10

Cinemalaya’s “The Janitor” has the most star-studded cast for the 10th anniversary Cinemalaya entries this year, led by “The Janitor” himself Dennis Trillo, joined by stellar actors Richard Gomez as Rudy, Crisanto’s boss and mentor, LJ Reyes as Melba, the loving wife of Crisanto and Derek Ramsay, as SPO3 Dindo Marasigan, one of the suspects that Crisanto needs to hunt down. Providing remarkable acting support to the film are Irma Adlawan, Alex Medina, Nico Manalo, Gerald Napoles, Raymond Bagatsing, Dante Rivero and Ricky Davao.

The Janitor director himself, direk Michael Tuviera said that it’s pretty amazing how this movie is on a perfect timing for his dream cast, that’s why the movie cast became this big and star studded, because all of his offers to the cast members was replied by a “yes.”

The Janitor is a mirror story of a true to life incident of a bank robbery occurred in Laguna wherein many lives were lost. 

It is Directed by Michael Tuviera, and written by Aloy Adlawan, The Janitor is produced by APT Entertainment as a part of the Director’s Showcase in the upcoming Cinemalaya. “The Janitor” will be featured during the tenth year celebration of Cinemalaya from August 1 to 10, 2014 and will have a Gala Night on August 4, 6:15pm at the CCP Main Theater.
