Food for Change at the Mercato Centrale in BGC

In celebration of the World Food Day (October 16th), World Food Programme (WFP) with Unilever and Knorr initiates a foodie event "Food for Change" for the benefit of feeding the school children in the depressed areas of Mindanao.

The "Food for change" event is at the Mercato Centrale in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) where everyone is invited to taste samples from no less 50 participating food concessionaires. Each Ticket worth Php 300, does not only give you the opportunity to enjoy flavourful dishes cooked of course with Knorr, but more importantly to help and feed children in Mindanao.

Celebrities like KC concepcion, Marvin Agustin supports this advocacy event, they even attended the launching of the event, Concepcion specially as taking responsibility as a UN Ambassadress shown her much support to WFP for giving her 6 years of helping every children, meanwhile Agustin as a chef, did a cooking demo on the launch and promised to donate Php 100,000 to help WFP.

Knorr believes that good food has the power to change lives for the better. This year on it's 175th Anniversarry, Knorr celebrates more than a century of improving lives by supporting several WFP initiatives for World Food day.

To date, Unilever, through Knorr, has provided Php30 million worth of school meals for school children in Mindanao since its partnership in 2008 began.
