Galema; Anak ni Zuma (Zuma) is a proudly filipino comics creation of Jim Fernandez that bloomed in the late 80's. There have only been two Philippine Zuma movies to date, Zuma (1985) and Anak ni Zuma (1988), both starring actor Max Laurel in the title role. Snooky Serna played Galema, Zuma's daughter, only in the first film; the role was played in the sequel by a lesser-known actress named Jenny Lyn. Max Laurel appeared in other films only as a character actor.

As ABS-CBN celebrates 60 years of Philippine Television, "Galema: Anak ni Zuma" revives in the names of Andi Eigenmann(Galema) and Zuma (Derrick Hubalde). Andi and Derrick will be joined by promising stars and stellar cast, also this is the reunion of Matteo-Andi loveteam. Galema: Anak ni Zuma is directed by the master story-teller Wenn Dermas, will be airing this September 30 on Kapamilya Gold.
