The last 2 girls in the competition–Allen Jane Sta. Maria and KZ Tandingan–vied for the last slot in the grand finals of “The X Factor Philippines.”


Earlier in the show, Gabriel Maturan and the group Daddy’s Homewere declared safe. They occupied the first two slots in next week’s grand finals.

Allen and KZ, both mentees by Charice who was devasted by the result, sang for their life. Allen performed Pink’s “Perfect” for her survival song, while Tandingan sang John Legend’s “Ordinary People.”

The judges/mentors made a unanimous decision: Martin Nievera, Gary Valenciano and Pilita Corrales all voted to send Allen home.

KZ Tandingan joins Gabriel Maturan and Daddy’s Home in the grand finals which is happening next weekend, October 6 and 7.
