Former F.ABLE member Shim Jae-hyun dies of leukemia at 23

The K-pop community is mourning the loss of former F.ABLE member Shim Jae-hyun, who passed away at the age of 23.

Sources confirm that Jae-hyun died on June 29 after a battle with leukemia, a type of cancer affecting the blood and bone marrow. It was noted that he kept his illness private from the public.

His former bandmates, along with his family, gathered to lay him to rest on Wednesday, July 2.

Following the news, fellow F.ABLE member Lee Ho-jun shared a heartfelt message on Instagram, expressing his regret for learning about Jae-hyun's passing late and for not being present for his final journey. He wished Jae-hyun peace and comfort, free from worries, and thanked him for their five years together.

F.ABLE originally debuted in 2020. Jae-hyun served as one of the group's vocalists and was among the youngest members, participating in their debut single, "Burn It Up."

The five-member group quietly disbanded in July 2023, three years after their debut, with some members later forming a new group called ENPHAZE.
