Hailing from Davao, Katrina Anne Johnson has successfully concluded her journey in the Binibining Pilipinas pageant with a significant victory.
The 27-year-old was recently crowned Binibining Pilipinas International 2025, marking a triumphant return two years after she placed 1st runner-up in the 2023 competition.
Reflecting on her win, Johnson shared that it still feels surreal, like a dream. She emphasized her deep commitment to this comeback, stating she "poured all of myself into this journey" to ensure there were no lingering regrets.
Johnson revealed that the motivation behind her return stemmed from feeling less than 100% content with her initial Binibining Pilipinas experience, believing she had more to offer. While the decision to compete again brought moments of fear and doubt, putting herself in a position to be judged once more, she views these challenges as badges of honor, culminating in her winning the crown.
Offering a powerful message derived from her experience, the licensed pharmacist advised others facing hesitation: "Being able to come back this year was really scary... But definitely, I would say to everyone who’s afraid of dreaming and going after their dreams, take me as an example... you never know until you try." Her key takeaway is simple yet impactful: "Go after your dreams while you still can."
The newly crowned queen dedicated her achievement to her father and her late mother, adding a poignant layer to her win. The timing of the coronation coincided with Father's Day, and her choice of an evening gown adorned with butterflies served as a touching tribute to her mother's memory.
Johnson takes over the title from Abra's Myrna Esguerra, who is scheduled to compete in the Miss International 2025 pageant later this year.
